Quad modem/audio compression board
The product:
4-channel audio and Fax/modem PC board with four telephone line interfaces.
Our customer's need:
Design a board which permits Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to offer telephone and
Fax/modem services.
Our solution:
Design a PC/ISA board with four pairs of audio compression ICs and Fax/modem
chips. Each channel has an external telephone line interface. A MUX, under PC
control, switches in an audio compression IC or Fax/modem IC depending on the type of
incoming or outgoing call for each of the independent channels.
Our involvement:
We designed the electronics and wrote some diagnostics software. Providing
support since 1996.
