Net+Works(TM) Product Development

Odic is an authorized developer of the Net+Works networking processor from NetSilicon, which means that we have all the tools and expertise required to design products based on the Net+Works solution.

What is the Net+Works solution? Net+Works is a hardware/software solution for network appliances. If you want to place something on the web or simply on an Ethernet network, Net+Works is the solution for you.

At the hardware level, it is a new chip from NetSilicon which combines a fast RISC processor (the ARM core) with an Ethernet MAC. The chip also includes a lot of bus control logic, making it easy to combine with DRAM, Flash, and other support chips, reducing overall component count and board cost.

But, things get really exciting at the software level. The chip includes, at no extra cost, a runtime license for the popular VxWorks(R) pSOS+(TM), and ThreadX real-time operating systems. Bundled with each chip are software components that support email, FTP, HTML, and a full TCP/IP stack.

What can Odic do for you? We can design Net+Works into your product. Specifically:

• We can provide standard device configuration using a Web-browser.
• We can embed firmware to allow your device to connect over the Internet in many different ways, including FTP, email, and sockets.
